For nearly three decades, All American Massacre has existed as one of horror cinema’s most talked-about unfinished films. Shot in the late 1990s and never released, the project became a piece of “lost media,” surrounded by speculation, controversy, and myth.

A Drama documentary experience

About the Project

This campaign supports the production of a feature-length drama documentary investigation into the film’s history, disappearance, and cultural impact. Through interviews, archival research, and recovered production materials, the documentary explores how the film was made, why it was never completed, and how it became one of the most discussed unfinished projects in horror cinema.

Central to the documentary is the incorporation of original production footage, presented exclusively for the purposes of commentary, historical context, and critical analysis.

The drama documentary also includes AI-assisted visual essays. These visual essays use AI-generated illustrative imagery to explore what the director originally proposed for the unfinished film. They do not constitute a completed feature film, remake, sequel, or continuation of the original work. Instead, they function as conceptual interpretations, created solely to support discussion, analysis, and understanding within the documentary framework.

The project examines the creative intentions behind the original production and the lasting cultural fascination it has held for fans for more than 25 years.

The drama documentary features contributions from Miquel Núñez (Return of the Living Dead) and Bill Moseley (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2), among others.

This project is a drama documentary with a companion visual essay and investigative elements. It makes no claim of ownership over any existing characters, films, or properties. All archival material and illustrative elements are used solely for purposes of commentary, criticism, research, and historical analysis, consistent with fair-use principles.
